I had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The server who attended to us was not only friendly but also had impressive sales skills. I was truly impressed. We ordered coffee and pastries, both of which were delicious. This is definitely a place I would return to, and I highly recommend it to others.

I've been a regular at this restaurant since I moved to the area, and I absolutely adore all their cakes. I often buy them as gifts because they're so beautifully presented and elegant. I've tried their mango mousse cake, pies, tarts, and their special holiday berry cakes, and I've been impressed by the flavors and creativity of each one. The owner is incredibly sweet and always available to answer any questions I have. The only downside is that their croissants could be a bit larger; however, I highly recommend this place. Just a note: it can be a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth it.

I wanted to share my disappointing experience at Ambrosia Euro Café regarding my son’s sixth birthday celebration. Over the course of a month, I repeatedly communicated with the staff to arrange for a special birthday cake, yet they refused to connect me with the new owner, which I found quite frustrating. On Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10 AM, I was given a cake that was meant for the celebration. However, when it came time to cut the cake at 12 PM, after all the planning and follow-ups, I quickly discovered it was frozen—contrary to what I was led to believe. Not only was it hard, but it was also completely inedible, ruining the moment for my son, his friends, and our guests. The cake cost $209, and I can’t understand why Ambrosia Euro Café would allow this to happen. Given the circumstances, the business should have reconsidered its options to avoid ruining a child’s birthday party by handing me a frozen cake instead. Ethically, they should have offered an edible cake that could be enjoyed by my son and our guests, instead of expecting me to pay the full amount for a product that was unfit for the occasion. I am truly shocked by the new ownership’s decision to charge me in full while being fully aware that they were providing an unacceptable product. A frozen, stale cake was never part of our agreement over the past month of planning. This situation warrants serious reconsideration of Ambrosia Euro Café’s commitment to customer service and its place in our community.

This charming French bakery in Barrington is truly a gem! It's quite rare to find authentic French bakeries in the suburbs, and I've cherished this one for years. I stopped by to enjoy a cup of coffee topped with their fresh vanilla whipped cream, which is among the finest I’ve ever tasted. The ambiance transports you to Europe, making you forget you're in the Chicago suburbs. Although I have a nut allergy and cannot enjoy their pastries due to cross-contamination, they always look magnificent. It’s a delightful spot that I always look forward to visiting!

An excellent pastry shop with friendly staff. The cakes are beautiful! Everything we tried there (which was a lot) was excellent! I can't wait to go back and try more things!
