The Buttercup Cafe - Barnstable

First time to Cape and we landed at this charming breakfast restaurant. Perfect for a Sunday brunch or breakfast while vacationing. Various breakfast plates reasonably priced and just right serving sizes made this place good for us. Waitress was friendly but very busy which made our wait longer than needed. Coffee was rich, complex and made our am meal splendid. Go today for a welcoming venues while in the Cape. Go today!

I absolutely love this cafe! It was clean and had a charming decor. I ordered the commissioner plate, and it was delicious—plenty of food for a great price. The pancakes were especially wonderful! They were the perfect size and had an incredible flavor. I highly recommend this place!

I'm 62 years old, and I just had the best salad and tuna melt of my life! It was a wonderful dining experience, and the food was made with quality ingredients!

The waitstaff provided excellent service and were very friendly. There’s seating available both indoors and outdoors, which is great, and their selection of baked goods looked simply irresistible. **Cons:** However, it is relatively small, even though it operates as a sit-down restaurant. The prices are reasonable, but not the lowest in the area. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite leave me in awe. We ordered the Brunch Burger with Parmesan fries, the Monte Cristo Sandwich with Parmesan fries, and a side of Triple Berry French Toast. The burger was quite good; it was a straightforward burger topped with an egg—not particularly unique. The sandwich was packed with meat, although it was a bit salty for my taste, but I do enjoy salt. The French toast was classic; you can't really go wrong with that. Overall, it's a charming spot worth checking out!
