I had a meal deal reservation at this restaurant. Despite a large group of people there for a work celebration, I received my food without any issues. I must commend Charlotte for working tirelessly to ensure that drinks were served promptly and tables were taken care of. Her presence made a huge difference and I can't imagine how the experience would have been without her assistance.
If you enjoy being served by a grumpy and somewhat rude bartender, ordering food from sticky menus, and sitting at dirty tables and chairs, then this is the perfect place for you! The chicken tikka was delicious, but the poppadom was soggy and the naan bread was unappetizing. The breakfast was lukewarm, which may be convenient if you're in a hurry. The morning staff seemed happier than the bartender I encountered on both nights. The toilets were clean, however, the overall experience was underwhelming.
We had married on Wednesday 27 December and had arranged a surprise wedding dinner for family and friends Monika was outstanding in the planning and also on the day and nothing was too much trouble for her and the team She was extremely supportive and no request from us was ever rejected which resulted in a perfect start to our married life
OK so here's our disappointing experience on our visit yesterday. Firstly, we had a reservation so expected to welcomed instead we were treated as if we should go elsewhere. As we approached the hosting station we saw the manager (Tallish,bald slim guy in a green t shirt) roll his eyes and tell the waiter to tell us there's an hours wait for food. The waiter, politely relayed this to us and we agreed that's fine we are prepared to wait. A waitress then proceeded to seat us at a table. She told us there's around a 30 minute wait for food, the same manager then approached her and said tell them it's an hour. Either way this was fine we were prepared for the wait. We ordered at the bar the food arrived 30 minutes later. The fact there was a wait for food isn't the issue (which wasn't particularly great) it's the way we were treated as an inconvenience and made to feel unwelcome. It seems the manager was doing his best to put us off dining there. The place wasn't even that busy. Please make your customers feel welcome regardless of what pressures you are under or simply polietly say you are no longer serving food due to a backlog. Anything is better than being rude. The waiters and waitress were fine and very polite. Perhaps the manager was having a bad day, but it is such a bad image for your company, very off-putting and really bad customer service.
