The Partista Espresso Bar - Bancroft

I visited this restaurant on a Saturday morning! They offer a variety of crepes, sandwiches, and desserts.

I picked up a sandwich for my daughter that had mixed vegetables and goat cheese. It was supposed to be toasted, but I asked for it to be grilled instead.

Wow, today I unexpectedly ate what may be the best croissant of the year!!! I had a 12:00 appointment and arrived at King too.

This is also the home of the Arts Place, a local collective and a watering hole for residents and visitors. Many residents seem to be urban refugees, and bring fun sensibilities and abilities to the formerly blue collar town. This economically challenged but friendly town, with high unemployment, deserves some patronage by travellers passing through.

For years I've been waiting for a place like The Partista Espresso Bar to open in Bancroft, Ontario. The coffee is amazing, the atmosphere is calm and beautiful, and the fellow patrons are creative and sharing. My only wish is for the place to have free wifi.
