McDonald's - Bancroft

The only time I go into MacDonalds is to get a coffee after driving all night, and to use the always clean bathroom and the always free wifi. I get exactly what I expect.

I don't know what it is about this McDonald's. It's always slow, the WiFi rarely works and it's always out of something.

I arrived at around 6:20 p.m. to a drive-thru line that was backed up. Opting to go inside instead, I was warned by a departing customer that it was chaotic. Indeed, the place was packed with people waiting for their orders, and I decided to use the self-serve kiosk assuming it would be quicker. I was wrong - I waited over 15 minutes for my food, and the person in front of me waited just as long for four coffees. As I waited, I couldn't help but notice how dirty the restaurant was. Straws and napkins littered the floor, spilled fries were left under tables, and the tables themselves were unwashed. A family of four walked in, took one look around, and promptly left, with the mother declaring it was too gross to stay. While I understand that the staff in the kitchen and at the counter were likely overwhelmed, I believe McDonald's should have someone on hand to manage the dining area. I've been to numerous McDonald's locations in my life, but this experience was by far the worst. It's a shame that it happened to be the one in my hometown.

A quick stop before you get to Algonquin park , it's McDonald's right - so no need to say more ... Place is clean - service is quick - food is McDonald's ---

This was the perfect place for a quick stop whether it is a beverage, snack or meal...or an after dinner ice cream. The staff was so friendly and eager to help.
