Bidrage med feedbackWe finally had an opportunity to have dinner at the Prime Rib after living in Baltimore for more than two years. We had tickets to a performance at the symphony and decided to have dinner the Prime Rib before walking over to the Meyerhoff (the Prime Rib is conveniently located to a few theaters and halls, so it 's a great pre performance option). We started with the Our Famous Greenberg Potato Skin Basket 4 perfect fried potato skins with horseradish sauce, which was a great starter. For my entree, I had the rack of lamb with mint jelly and amarena cherry mustard, which I really loved (perfectly cooked and well accompanied). My husband had the roast prime rib, and we shared the creamed spinach. Everything was good but come hungry these portions are serious! All our drinks were good as well wine and cocktails! The service was great, and the restaurant does have ambiance (old school, and very traditional, but great ambiance)! Definitely a great spot for a fancy night out before a show! Keep it on your list and check it out!
Ordered their signature 30 oz prime rib and it was cooked perfectly. Really appreciated the freshly grated horseradish--I've been to many steakhouses and this is a first. Service was attentive, fast and accurate. Restaurant decor was from a different era--live electric bass guitar and pianist provided mood music.
Loved it. the food was yummy. the chef had a beautiful energy. i loved meeting him. bartender was cool too. the ambiance is everythinggggg. you feel like you're back in the 40s. i had on jeans and actually felt like bb next time, ima wear different fabrics. it is a beautiful restaurant. they had music! the night i went, a pianist. the ladies beside me were gossiping for sure. but it was cool in like a old rich movie way i'm going back!
Excellent food Great service Expensive, however, you get what you pay for. Looking forward to going again.
My first time at The Prime Rib! This place is a Baltimore institution known for its topnotch service, classy interior, and incredible seafood and steak. We got so much food on this particular evening as it was an early Christmas celebration for us. Here's what we ordered... The potato skins: A must order! They are famous for a reason. Incredibly crispy and come with sour cream and horseradish on the side. The house salad: Also a classic item. I wasn't a huge fan of the egg chopped throughout the salad but the flavor was cut well with the pepperoncini. The clams casino: It more bacon than it is clams but still yummy. The shrimp cocktail: Giaaaant shrimp! SO worth the price. The New York Strip au poivre: A yummy piece of steak coated in coarse black pepper. Side of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach: I'm normally not a fan of creamed spinach but when it was combined with the steak and mashed potatoes it was incredible. The strawberry cheesecake: soooooo freakin' amazing. Definitely more cheese than cake. I also want to note that the dirty martini is one of the best I've ever had. It was made a little less dirty than I'm used to with the stuffed olives on the side because they fill the glass to the brim to the point where there's no room for a garnish. Once I sipped it a bit and threw the olives in, the martini transformed into an extra extra dirty martini that was just what I wanted. Bravo to the bartender for knowing exactly how to make this fickle drink and not overcompensating with the salt! Don't forget to try their famous piney too! It's a delicious pineapple vodka concoction that is so good it's dangerous.
