Ristorante Da Mimmo - Bad Wiessee

I spent time in bath white in the run of several years and I was pleased to find ristorante da mimmo, which is not only charming and delightful, but that has the best Italian food I have found not only in Germany, but perhaps also in the... states. the owner and chef, mimmo la penna, is not only a charming host, but the eating is innovatiw and excellent. I recommend it very much! I enjoyed many magical evenings there.

My great family and I recently visited da mimmo and loved the experience. from beginning to end the service was perfect, very courteous for English speakers, and eating was excellent. a great stop in bayern!

The service at this place was only by eating the both fantastic were surpassed. a short walk from our apartment and close to the city edge. the personal speaks German and English. the head cook often makes its round to check on. many natives, of whom we are not, who should show them the appeal for repeating customers. a little expensive, but it was totally worth the evening and fine dinning. we had the pene pasta and the risotto that was made multa bene!

The rooms are very comfortable and attractive, and eating fresh and tasty in da mimmi. cash only, but cheap.

It's maybe one or two years ago and we had been to Da Mimmo's' a few times with friends. It is true, the food is good, and it's a nice place, but frankly, I found the owner rather graceless and rude. For a restaurant which...obviously caters to not just locals and the owner obviously seems to fancy himself as a worldly man, not to take credit cards of any form seems very backward. I have no problem really if he chooses to do this, (a bit short sighted and stingy because they don't want to pay the percentage), however, when as a foreigner one makes a reservation, I think one should be told that is the case, rather than being told, when having entertained about friends and wants to pay, sorry cash only or EC card(? what is this OK no problem, but the way he did this was so arrogant and rude, There are cash-machines not far from here, you can go and get it' and that in the depth of winter. We had to club around to pay the bill of nearly Euro which frankly was a wee bit embarrassing. So the moral of the story, the food might be good, the ambience nice, however, even though we come to Bad Wiessee very often for medical reasons, we have never been back and never will go back.
