Lupa Osteria Design Quarter

We enjoyed some excellent specials, particularly the mixed platter featuring meat, seafood, and more. However, the service was just average; our waitress was a bit slow, and our food arrived somewhat cold. Despite that, I liked the restaurant overall. It was very clean and not too crowded, making it an ideal spot for a Sunday afternoon lunch. I would rate it 7 out of 10.

I tried Lupa for the first time after hearing many positive reviews about their pasta, and I must say, I can't find any faults with it. I visited on a Sunday afternoon when there was a live band playing, which created a wonderful atmosphere. It's a fantastic, relaxed restaurant.

I would have loved to give Lupa a perfect rating because my hake with spinach and parmesan penne was absolutely amazing and incredibly delicious—I definitely plan to come back for more. However, they did get an order wrong at our table, and the inexperience of the staff was quite evident, which cost them a star. The food, though, deserves a full five stars!

Truffled carbonara served at your table in a torched parmesan wheel , besides it being really cool to watch, it was even better to eat , silky, creamy pasta!4: Fillet escalope served on gorgonzola and bacon risotto. Bf is always a steak guy The fillet melted in my mouth, so tender that he could cut it with a butter knife. He literally did. Best fillet I've tried in a while5: Italian nachos : crispy 3 cheese ravioli and an arrabiatta dipping sauce6: Italian cigars: crispy pastry parcels filled with Parma ham, robiola cheese and rocketIf you're in JHB, this place is a must for a perfect date night

Lupa is a fairly consistent mid-range restaurant which delivers a decent quality of food. We've been there approximately five times thus far and have not been disappointed.
