Located in a lovely, refurbished hotel. Quietso one can carry on a conversation. Staff friendly and helpful. Full bar. Husband had the hamburger which was huge but he ate it all and enjoyed it. I had the cod with a lite sauce with mushrooms over rice. Very nice. I appreciate they mark items which are gluten free. Reasonably priced

As loyal customers for a long time, it's disappointing that our recent experiences haven’t met our expectations. Our alternative is now the café across the street, Zoey's. So, Larks, please either fix your cappuccino machine or invest in a new one! You're missing out on a delightful experience for your customers!

What a lovely restaurant! Our meal was fantastic. We started with the steamed clam appetizer, which was a perfect portion for a light meal if you're not too hungry. The toasted bread was excellent for dipping into the broth. Our main courses were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. For dessert, we shared the flourless chocolate cake; it was dense and rich, accompanied by a scoop of salted caramel ice cream. It was a bit too rich for my taste, but if you love sweets, you'll be in heaven. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely return.

I had a disappointing experience at Larks. I've dined there many times and usually enjoy the food and service, but something felt very off during this visit. There didn’t seem to be any management present. I had brought three friends from out of town, and we encountered several issues: drinks we ordered were suddenly unavailable, and after waiting 15 minutes for our entrees, we were informed that they were also unavailable. When our entrees did arrive, they were prepared differently than we had been told. Additionally, our plates were left on the table for too long without being cleared. The server attributed the problems to the chef, but there appeared to be no oversight from management, and there was no apology or offer of compensation for the $300 bill. At the end, we were offered some chocolate chunks, which felt inadequate. This experience was not at all up to the restaurant’s usual standards. I hope they can address these issues.
