Charlie's West End Cafe - Ardara

I have been eating here for years the same lovely elderly lady served us ordered scampy and chips also fish and chips the chips where frozen food as was the scampy the fish was horrible burnt and all batter this is hard to say but i will not be back it has went badly downhill

Just pulled in off the road about midday. Greeted at door and our Covid passes were checked by a bar code reader and a simple card given to fill in our contact details. Their efficiency is an example to all other premises. We visited over 25 in the past week and this was by far the best example. Service was very friendly and the food was excellent and quite reasonably priced. Highly recommended, well done.

Visited today. Food was OK, arrived quickly, place was clean. Ordered an omelette which on the menu came with 1/2 salad. Arrived with a garnish...literally a garnish. I asked if the salad was coming and the reply was There 's salad on the plate, do you want more? Received a small plate of salad and wasn 't charged for it. €10 for at most a 3 egg omelette, with two fillings and garnish is a rip off. It would put me off returning.

Visited Charlie’s last week just after lunch time. We were looking for a sweet bite decided to try their apple pie with ice cream. It was wonderful, a generous portion of pie with 2 scoops of ice cream a drizzle of caramel sauce. Really yummy! I ordered a pot of tea it was great too spotlessly clean.

Went to Charlie’s west end cafe for lunch one of the days when we stayed Ardara. Food is lovely and portions are quiet big. The waiter was lovely and service was great.
