The Rooted Vegan - Angola

What a great addition to Angola. We drove up from Fort Wayne to have lunch. The owners are so kind and gracious. The display of vegan baked goods was an overload to the senses and we couldn't choose just one delight because there were so many!! The menu was also great. Prices were quite respectable. Even if you're not vegan, the food is amazing.

Food was delicious and we would highly recommend this place!! We stopped in when traveling and it was very convenient. The restaurant was adorable and the staff were lovely. If you’re in the area- you have to try it!

I've been vegan for many years, always felt left out living in rural Indiana with the only vegan restaurant nearby being in Fort Wayne, which I very very rarely make the drive to. Having Rooted open just a few minutes drive from my house was the best things to happen to me relating to my veganism! I hope Rooted and its amazing owners have many many years of success! Every single thing that I've tried off of their menu has been an absolute banger, there is not a single small critique I could make about any of their food, just absolute perfection. Their smoothies and sweets always cheer me up on bad days. Every employee I've encountered there, as well as both of the owners, are the most kind and caring sort of people you could meet! Both my Thanksgiving and Christmas meals were from Rooted this past year, and I got my birthday cake from them as well! Food is my love language, and Rooted Vegan has a death grip on my heart! We love this place. We go there at least 2 days a week. Food is fresh and boldly spiced highly recommend the Nashville hot, the chik’n bac’n ranch, the pepper crusted bowl, and the nachos/queso seriously the nacho cheeze they use is better than almost any real nacho cheese I’ve had. The chick’n caesar is our new favorite though, just absurdly flavorful one of the better caesar dressings I’ve had, genuinely. And it has capers! That is some carefully considered cooking right there.Baked goods are as good as advertised cookies are always killer, and their new baby cakes are fantastic. And smoothies! Love the Açaí and the Phar Out.Christy and Craig are so lovely and welcoming and great with kids! We’re so lucky to have a place like this in our little town.
