Port O Call - Algonac

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant! Stephanie provided outstanding service, and the views were stunning. The food was incredible too! It was our first time visiting, and my mother really enjoyed her brunch date with my sister and me. We're already looking forward to our next visit! I'm giving this restaurant a one-star rating solely because the food prepared by the cook, Danielle, was absolutely delightful. However, the management is incredibly rude and unprofessional. It's disappointing to see that instead of supporting and uplifting their employees, they create a stressful environment. Improvement is needed; management should strive to foster a positive atmosphere where staff can thrive and be recognized for their hard work.

Charming restaurant with a welcoming staff. They offer some standout dishes, like the enormous soft pretzel appetizer, which was fantastic. However, the main courses were somewhat mediocre. I was surprised that the fries were more flavorful and interesting than the burger. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience by the water. I would definitely return if I'm in the area again. At that point, we had been at the restaurant for over two hours and still hadn’t received food for everyone in our group. There didn’t seem to be much accountability from management regarding the situation. While we acknowledged that we were a large party, this was organized well ahead of time, and the restaurant should have been better equipped to handle us rather than depending on just one server. In conclusion, while most of us enjoyed the food, the overall experience felt rushed and disorganized towards the end. Everyone in our group agreed that we would like to return, but next time, we plan to come in much smaller groups to hopefully avoid a similar situation. We also hope that management will be better prepared for large parties in the future.

We arrived by boat and were lucky to get a table on the patio with very little wait. Even though it was busy, the service was outstanding. It's a wonderful place for a summer outing—definitely worth a visit. The outdoor atmosphere is lovely!
