I recently visited Hunter BBQ in Albany, KY, and had a mixed experience. For aficionados of smoky, traditional BBQ flavors, you might find the offerings here a bit different from your expectations. The brisket, while tender, didn't carry the smoky essence that BBQ lovers often crave. It had a flavor more akin to hamburger meat and was chopped, which made it hard to discern the cut's quality. The pulled pork leaned towards a sweeter taste profile, and the baked beans were a bit bland, reminiscent of a canned variety. However, the potato salad deserves a special mention – it was delicious and well-prepared, a definite highlight of the meal. And while the meat portions were slightly under the expected weight, the sides were generously served. What sets Hunter BBQ apart is its staff and the environment. The staff was incredibly sweet and accommodating, adding a pleasant touch to our experience. The place maintains a clean and welcoming atmosphere, which is always a big plus. The environment is family-friendly, and the service is commendable.At $72 for the meal, the value might seem a bit steep for those seeking the rich, smoky flavors of traditional BBQ. However, for a casual, homestyle meal in a friendly setting, Hunter BBQ holds its charm.

Have wanted to stop In for a long time as I pass by often for work being a fellow smoker and finally had an opportunity today .it was everything that I thought it would be and more! me and my fellow employee absolutely loved it and it was the best I have has in Kentucky period. we got our food very fast and it was absolutely delicious. The warm welcoming when I came I and the service I got was amazing. I will be back for sure and that's all my other Co worker talked about all the way back to georgetown . thank you
