2KW Bar and Restaurant - Adelaide

We walked in and out table was not quite ready so the host shouted our drinks for the inconvenience of a five minute waitOur waitress was terrific and she recommended that we try the "trust us" dinner. It was fantastic. I have never had something as great together as the chorizo and octopus. As promised the courses started small and got biggerI first chose a cab sav that I knew and the sommelier recommended our second. Should have let him pick from the start. We were recommended 2KW by friends & were delighted we took their advice. The restaurant & bar is housed in a beautiful historic building on the 8th floor above the corner of King William Street & North Terrace. The decor is very chic , modern & contemporary . The sexy rooftop bar has fabulous views of the Government House, Adelaide oval & the river . Perfect for pre or after dinner drinks. We enjoyed a degustation menu which our waiter suggested of small tapas dishes . All were delicious especially the North Flinders lamb shoulder. Staff were extremely friendly , efficient & knowledgeable. A credit to this establishment. Overall - fabulous hip restaurant offering excellent innovative food , sleek rooftop bar with cool views. The place to be for a fun night.

We stopped here for a couple of drinks to celebrate my birthday and I was gob smacked at the view. Excellent at night. The knowledge of the barman when I asked about particular wines was excellent. Recommend you try 2KW but don't expect it to be a cheap night out.

We had pre-dinner drinks here on a recent trip to Adelaide. It is tastefully decorated and has great views over the city, especially at Sunset. Would recommend a visit, it's a classy place.

2KW is one of my favourite rooftop bars/restaurants in Adelaide. Breathtaking views, friendly staff & super classy place to visit.
