The Balkan Bakery - Abingdon

Abingdon has its fair share of hidden gems for a small town, and the Balkan Bakery is undoubtedly one of them. We absolutely love visiting this place. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, just like its owners. Everything on the menu is delicious, and each member of my family has their own favorites. My daughter adores the apple strudel, my son is all about the chocolate crepes and Nutella-filled bread, my husband enjoys all six varieties of baklava, and I can’t get enough of the éclairs and Turkish coffee! There's truly nothing else like it within a 60-mile radius. During my last visit, a photographer from Southern Living was there taking photos because they wanted to showcase this bakery later this year. It's clear that this gem is no longer a secret!

Excellent bread and pastries ...and the baklava is a must have!!!Everything is freshly made everyday (you can actually taste the ingredients...no artificial flavors). An absolute great find in Abingdon.
