Bidrage med feedbackI visited this restaurant for the first time, and the narrow one-way street made me a bit nervous as I approached. The restaurant is located on the side, so please park your car head-first as the street is quite narrow. The owner kindly watches as you leave, so you can browse the products with peace of mind. I had read that the sweetness was subtle based on other reviews, so I tried their "yakimochi" and "Christmas wagashi". The yakimochi was truly elegant in sweetness, with a perfect balance of rice cake and red bean paste. The texture of the red bean paste was also delicious.
I went to buy strawberry daifuku because everyone was praising it, but I couldn't buy it because it was not the season for strawberries in May. Instead, I purchased homemade warabi mochi, warabi mochi manju (I forgot the official name, I'm sorry), and yomogi dango. The yomogi dango with sweet bean paste was melt-in-your-mouth soft and absolutely delicious! The warabi mochi was chewy with a subtle sweetness, and the warabi mochi manju, which had warabi mochi wrapped around sweet bean paste, was also very tasty. There is no parking lot, so be careful when you pass by and enter a private house because the narrow and winding alleyways require attention.
I tried the kashiwa-mochi and yomogi-mochi! As others have mentioned, the mochi is soft, with just the right amount of sweetness, and a perfect balance of flavors. It is definitely delicious and I will become a repeat customer for sure.
