Bidrage med feedbackI went to "Uoshi Gyozu" and had grilled oysters. My friend in Oita took me to an oyster shack. We initially went to a different restaurant, but they were only selling at the end of the year, so we ended up at "Uoshi Gyozu." It is located on Route 213 heading towards Oita Airport from Kitsuki. In addition to oysters, the store also has a sales corner selling dried seafood products. The dining area is indoors, so you can eat comfortably without having to worry about tents. There are oysters from various regions, not just Kitsuki, but also from Okayama on this day. You can choose between grilled oysters and steamed oysters, and we ordered one serving of Kitsuki grilled oysters for 1,320 yen including tax each. The oysters were brought to our table. They also provided detailed instructions on how to grill the oysters on charcoal, which was a helpful service unlike the one I experienced in Itoshima, Fukuoka. Squeezing kabosu on the grilled oysters and eating them is also delicious! As you become more accustomed to grilling the oysters and removing the shells, you can enjoy them in a delicious state. "Uoshi Gyozu" offers rock oysters in the summer and oysters all year round. In addition to oysters, there is a variety of other menu items available, making it a family-friendly restaurant with children, which makes it a definite repeat visit spot.
I visited the restaurant because I was craving oysters. I went around 15:00 on a Saturday, which was a relatively quiet time, so we were seated quickly as there were not many customers. I heard that it gets quite busy during lunch hours. It was my first time there, so I ordered a set meal that came with steamed oysters, shrimp, and fried oysters. They did not serve alcohol due to COVID-19 restrictions, so we had self-service tea instead. They showed us how to grill the oysters and we enjoyed them while waiting for the steamed oysters and fried oysters to arrive. Personally, I thought the fried oysters were very delicious. They were big and juicy, highly recommended. The atmosphere was great with a view of the sea! Even in winter, we could stay warm by the charcoal fire, so I didn't have to worry about the cold.
The oysters are excellent this season! The hostess kindly teaches you how to grill them. Enjoy freshly grilled oysters with a squeeze of lemon while they sizzle. Be sure to try them. When grilling on charcoal, the flat side should be down. The second set is recommended. The butter-grilled scallops are also incredibly delicious.

牡蠣やホタテなどを自分で屋久島事が出来ます。 定食や海鮮丼もあり、海の幸を楽しめますよ
