The amount of noodles is plentiful, and even a regular size bowl is enough to fill you up. The ramen is simple, yet you can keep eating until the very end without getting tired of it. The wife is in charge of customer service, while the husband is in the kitchen, so sometimes they may struggle to keep up during lunchtime. A boiled egg is included as a service. Water is self-service, so it won't be provided just by sitting at the table. You have to time your order with the wife. The horse meat soy sauce ramen is surprisingly only 550 yen in this era -- a very cost-effective choice. During peak hours, you may have to share a table with strangers. The parking lot has space for about 10 cars, but it can get crowded during lunchtime, so you may have to wait.

On May 1st, the restaurant moved to the south of Okitama General Hospital. The entrance is a bit hard to find but it's on the right. The menu prices have increased by 50 yen, but the horse meat ramen is still priced at 600 yen. They also have shaved ice. I ordered the horse meat chashu extra large. The noodles have been changed to hand-kneaded curls and are softer. The soup is still a bit salty but tasty and addictive. However, I was advised by a doctor not to drink the soup, so I had to restrain myself. The chashu seems thicker and more generous than before. Even just the chashu alone would cost a lot if bought at a supermarket. Great value for the cost. A boiled egg is also included. The cute grandma and two women handle the restaurant. I hadn't seen the grandma for a while, but she looked healthy and that was good to see. It would be nice if they also offered low-sodium options, considering the restaurant is next to a hospital.

When it comes to ramen, this is it. The taste has not changed since the days of Kansei Drive-In. I usually get takeout, but if you dine in, they apparently offer a boiled egg as a service.

日曜日の10:50分に到着したんですがまだ暖簾がかかっておらず、グーグルマップの営業時間には10時開店となっているし食べログには『9:30にはスープが完成しているので、暖簾が無くても入店可。 10時ならば確実。』とあったので入店。 でも明らかに準備中な感じだったので個人的には11時に暖簾がかかったら入店したほうがよかったなと思いました。 馬肉ラーメンがメニューで1番安く550円でゆで卵もついてくるなんて驚きました。 馬肉チャーシューは4枚ものっていて臭みもなく、ラーメンもあっさり細麺で美味しかったです。 コロナ後のかめや食堂さんの口コミが険しくて、でもせっかく山形に来たんだから馬肉ラーメンが食べたくなったのでこちらにお邪魔したのですが、接客も丁寧でよかったです。
