This restaurant was recommended to me by my Hairdresser so I took a friend along for her birthday. What a fantastic evening we had because the food and the staff were amazing. The food is authentic and not your usual coloured sauces as is typical in many restaurants catering for the English pallet. Since, visiting I have recommended this restaurant to about 15 people if you love Indian food, this is the place. I will be introducing this restaurant to all my friends and family.

Kayal is consistently wonderful. The menu is varied and authentically south Indian, the portions are generous and very reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly. The vegetable stew with appam is great for a comforting meal, the paneer dishes are delicious, and there are some wonderful desserts. If you're really hungry or want to experience a whole range of flavours in one meal then the sadya (thali) is a three course banquet.

Wonderful healthy, fresh food.. Buzzing atmosphere.. Good value and service. We are going to try some of the excellent sounding lunch deals very soon as we have only ever had dinner here.. Both times we have come away happy.. Fresh flavours and delicious wine!!
