Bad To The Bone Bbq

I personally adore the Tri-Tips at this restaurant. I used to order the Two Meats special with both types of Tri Tips until the cashier recommended the Tri-Tips Dinner which was a bit cheaper and just as filling. I also love their corn on the cob with cilantro and chile butter so much that I always choose it as both of my sides. My friend always orders the Ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed veggies, and often saves the leftovers for lunch the next day. In my opinion, Bad To The Bone is a hidden gem in San Juan Capistrano.

Craving BBQ, we set out for Heritage BBQ in San Jose Downtown. After struggling to find public parking on a busy Saturday, we finally located a spot and arrived just in time to see them close their doors two hours early. When we asked an employee why they were shutting down, he explained that they had run out of food for the day. Disappointed, we decided to explore other dining options downtown. After considering a few nice places, we turned to Yelp in search of another BBQ spot and found a place called “Bone,” just a short drive away. The staff there were friendly and provided us with some good recommendations. We ordered a full rack of baby back ribs and a pound of brisket to take home. Once we arrived back, we were pleasantly surprised and impressed by both the quality and flavor of the meats! Based on this experience, we will definitely return when we're in the mood for BBQ. Highly recommended!

This place is awesome twice in one week. I'm a big BBQ fan and i have to say for the area it's a great place. The food is a 10 the service is great. Recommend it.

Bad to the Bone is a local favorite for a good reason the food is good. Today, the tri-tip sandwich was fantastic, and I almost ordered another to get more of the taste in my mouth. I stopped coming for a while but I enjoyed this meal so I will be coming back.Food: 5/5
