Firehouse Subs - Augusta

The food was okay, but there was mayonnaise all over the bag. The cashier didn’t acknowledge us when we approached the counter, which was strange since there were only three people in the store at that time. The guy making the sandwiches was the only one not wearing a mask, and honestly, he’s the one I would want to wear one the most.

The restaurant is clean, and the service is friendly. The food was decent, but not outstanding like at many other Firehouse locations. I found the sandwich to be a bit small as well.

I had a great time at Hook and Ladder, but I was a bit let down by my order. I got a small dish, and the portion size felt more like something meant for a child's meal, especially given the price I paid.

I want to share my experience with a recent online order. Unfortunately, I accidentally picked up the wrong bag, which was entirely my mistake. I took the only bag available without checking for my name, as it was my first time ordering online. I was feeling a bit scattered after leaving the hospital, where I had been assisting my husband with his post-COVID complications. Thankfully, the manager was incredibly understanding and helped me resolve the mix-up. To my surprise, she even followed me to my car to give me a comforting hug. Her kindness and compassion were truly heartwarming. Thank you so much for your support; you embody the kind of humanity we need more of in this world.

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant! The staff was exceptionally helpful. My two grandchildren have allergies, and they helped me modify a meal so that both kids could enjoy it. Thank you again!
